Who We Are

The Airdrie Urban Farm Collective (AUFC) is a registered non-profit organization located in Airdrie, Alberta. We are growing food and learning together as a community of all ages and stages.

As a collective, we will strive to always work together as a group, supporting an environment of growth, acceptance, and community. We are committed to providing a safe and fun environment where anyone, of any age can participate and learn how to grow food. Every question is a good one, and if we can’t answer it, we will find someone who can- if it’s about urban farming!

We operate on on love, with the helpful donations of supplies and volunteers who are ready to get in the dirt and work hard.

Who We Are:

We are a diverse collective growing the wellness of the earth, our community, and each other.

What We Do:

We are a registered non-profit organization that builds and tends a community of people passionate about:

  • Producing healthy, nutrient dense food to be distributed to volunteers, donated to the local food bank, and sold for funds;
  • Holistic land management to benefit the local ecosystem;
  • Improving the visual appeal and property value of the land the AUFC inhabits

How We Do It:

  • We Do What We Do Together – We operate as a collective, where we strive to balance our individual dreams and desires with the goals of the collective membership.
  • We Do What We Do For the Community – We operate in and for the community that we are a part of. Everything we do should grow and benefit each other and everyone around us.
  • We Do What We Do With Respect – We treat each other and the land with respect. This means respecting everyone who comes to the farm as well as the land we grow on.
  • We are On a Journey Together – We operate with humility, wonder, and thoughtful questions; remembering that the emphasis is not on “the right or wrong way” in what we do, the focus is on the journey together to grow the wellness of people and the land.
  • We Steward our Resources well – All our resources, including our land, water, money, and member time are managed and invested wisely to grow the wellness of people and the land.
